Congrats to Alita for winning UNC’s 3-Minute Thesis competition!

Her talk “Bugs as Drugs – A New Way to Treat Inflammatory Bowel Disease” received the highest scores from the judges. Alita will represent UNC Chapel Hill at the hashtag#3MT competition in Baton Rouge in 2026 as part of the Conference of Southern Graduate Schools annual conference. Well done, Alita!
